Serato is on a release spree today, based around the new Serato Remote app, but importantly adding a few cool things into the package as well. Landmark release Scratch Live 2.5 sees Serato Remote compatibility, as well as Pioneer CDJ-2000Nexus HID plug and play. The CDJ is used with Serato Scratch Live in HID mode to control the software and even receive the track and time information but as their software REQUIRES the SL box as its output soundcard, you can't use just the CDJs.
Mar 05, 2015 Earlier this week we looked at how Traktor DJs can have a plug and play setup with Pioneer CDJs in HID mode. Today Ryan Dejaegher is going to show Serato DJ and Scratch Live DJs how they can use CDJs in HID mode. The control is quite similar between Traktor and Serato but there are some notable differences in the models that are supported and the hardware required. Serato DJ/Scratch Live Hardware Setup One of the downsides to using CDJs in HID mode with Serato is that DJs still need a Serato compatible soundcard, mixer, or DJ controller ( not accessory ) connected to unlock the Serato software and HID support. This section describes necessary information when you use your CDJ-850 with Serato Scratch Live. The CDJ-850 is a certified USB controller for Scratch Live from Serato. The CDJ-850 has a computer control mode. That mode enables the CDJ-850 to control Scratch Live.
You also need to Patch both Omnisphere.dll files in Program Data. All 4.Dll's need to be patched or Omnisphere will not work! (You also need to do it again when you UPDATE Omnisphere) When done, open your DAW (I used FL Studio) in Admin mode, Load an instance of Omnisphere 2, and it will give you a Challenge Code. Hit the button 'Copy' near the Challenge Code text. Omnisphere 2 cant find dll to patch mac wine.
